From Looked After Child to the Founder of Winstar Technologies

What is Winstar Technologies?

My aim with Winstar Technologies is to teach a variety of people how to correctly use windows and android products, this includes processing tools such as Microsoft office, adobe PDF editors and how to stay safe whilst using the internet.

We also help with more advanced tools, such as marketing, advertising through social media and setting up your online business presence on a wide variety of platforms Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, Tik-Tok and many more.

as well as create courses and more.

My Experience as a looked after child.

I was placed into foster care when I was 11 years old. I’ve had a very difficult background growing up, and Remained in care for 5 years. for now this is all I would like to share about this topic.

I’ve suffered with ADHD since a child, was medicated for a while but I decided to get myself removed from them, but recently I was able to get re-diagnosed and prescribed again under my own decision (and currently working on an autism diagnosis) which has allowed me to focus again and work on my new company, Winstar Technologies.

Educate, Teach and overcome anything.

Our goal is to help the young, elderly, disabled and technically inept learn how to use both windows and android devices to, at minimum a basic level of understanding but I strive to overachieve adapting the ways I teach depending on the client. At minimum my goal is to make sure everyone knows how to protect themselves online, understand what VPN’s are and how they can protect you online. While also advising on the dangers of downloading random things from suspicious websites and how security passwords should be kept private.

How Winstar Technologies would like to help children in care.

We know that a lot of children in care, may have learning difficulties or have had a bad start to life. or struggled with education.

Winstar Technologies are planning to offer:

• Internet Safety Courses
• Educational Services / coaching Looked after children to take advantage of technology.

It all begins with an idea. A single project to start it off and you are already successful. Building trust is the key to success. When you fall, get back up, dust yourself off and don’t look back.
