Title:Night shift
Li has been nursed safely on 1:1 observations. He was watching a film in the evening in the
games room with peers, laughing appropriately. He said a few times how much he hated being on
1:1 and he wanted to request his discharge on tuesday when he could see the doctor, and if he
couldnt wanted to at least be off of 1:1, and it was at night that it was the worst as he hated
someone watching him sleep. Li went up to bed at around 23.00 and appeared asleep by 23.30
and has slept throughout the night.

Title:Late shift
Li has been observed to be bright in mood during the afternoon and evening. He has interacted
well with staff and peers and kept himself occupied. When sitting with staff and peers, for example
in the dining area, he has engaged well in conversation. He has also sat in the games room and
lounge watching films, and has written in his thoughts and feelings diary throughout the day. Li
has been nursed within eyesight on 1:1 observation, and has used his time with staff
appropriately. During the afternoon he was trying to run away from his 1:1 and hide (with another
young person who was encouraging him), but he did not present any real problem (i.e. he just hid
behind chairs, etc) and he settled down when staff asked him to stop.

Title:Early shift
Li woke up at 08:30 and reported that he had slept fairly well throughout the night. He claimed
that he did not need to change his bedding, and no evidence of bedwetting was observed.
Throughout the morning he has interacted well with staff and peers, and watched a film with
others in the games room before lunch. As he is interested in web design, some staff and peers
suggested that he design a Woodland House website, which he has done during the morning and
afternoon (in his notebook). He ate well at lunchtime and remains settled and relaxed.
