Our founder, Li Jean-Luc Harris, has historically utilized his public platform to share raw chronologies, detailed life-story reports, and music that deal explicitly with the harsh realities of the care system, trauma, and survival. While these resources are invaluable for adult professionals and mature care leavers, shielding vulnerable children from unrestricted access to these mature themes is our paramount duty. Furthermore, publicizing highly granular personal histories can inadvertently create “digital jigsaw” risks that compromise physical privacy.
In strict alignment with the principles of the UK Online Safety Act and best-in-class social care safeguarding practices, we must ensure that our platform reflects the absolute highest standards of protection, without diluting the educational impact of our work.
The Strategic Restructuring
To achieve this balance, Looked After Child Limited is implementing a structural separation of our public advocacy and our founder’s personal lived-experience content. Moving forward, our digital ecosystem will be divided into two distinct environments:
1. Public Systemic Advocacy (Looked After Child Limited) Our core mission remains uninterrupted. Our extensive knowledge base, professional resources, policy advocacy, and organizational updates will remain entirely public and accessible right here. We will continue to drive the systemic change we are so passionate about in the public domain.
2. The Lived Experience Vault (liharris.com/vault) All deeply personal lived-experience content authored by our founder—including his raw chronologies, his recently released music album, and granular life-story reports—has been permanently migrated off our public platform.
This sensitive material is being moved to a highly secure, gated environment known as The Lived Experience Vault.
Empowering Professionals, Shielding Children
By placing this highly personal media behind a vetted login wall, we achieve two vital objectives:
- Protection: We neutralize public safeguarding concerns, ensuring that children do not have unshielded access to trauma-related themes and protecting the digital footprints of our wider network.
- Professional Development: We are creating a secure sanctuary where mature care leavers can find solidarity, and where parents and professionals can securely access the granular, unfiltered training materials they need to elevate their practice.
Once established, this secure boundary will actually enable our founder to share even deeper, more nuanced insights safely.
Implementation Timeline
Developing a secure, compliant infrastructure takes careful planning. Currently, there is no set date for The Lived Experience Vault to open. Our team is evaluating the most secure technical methods and membership models to build this portal properly at liharris.com/vault. During this transitional period, all personal chronologies and the album will be temporarily unavailable to the public.
Upgrading our digital safeguarding infrastructure is a foundational step in ensuring that Looked After Child Limited is built to last.
